1. Linking

Depending on the responses to the questions links to the websites of e.g. Google or Facebook can be found in the the text of the privacy policy. Although linking is not required by law it is nevertheless customer-friendly. It is explained in the pdf file attached to your order confirmation e-mail how links can be established.

 2. Double opt-in for newsletters

This subscription method requires the customer to confirm an e-mail / click on a confirmation link before the subscription of the newsletter takes place effectively. This is intended to prevent that a third party subscribes the customer to the newsletter against or without his wishes. Furthermore, the clicked registration e-mail can be used as proof for your consent in the case of a dispute. There is no legal obligation for using this method. There is a risk that the registration e-mail is seen as unlawful sending of advertisements. Jurisdiction tends to consider double opt-in as admissible, however.
